Five performances on the docks of the Portneuf region
(municipalities of Neuville, Donnacona, Cap-Santé, Portneuf, Deschambault-Grondines)
Every Saturday of August 2020 for an hour, a group of seven artists from Portneuf and Quebec City, were found sitting in their rocking chairs on the pier, gazing out to the St. Lawrence River.
While indoor gatherings were prohibited due to the pandemic, the population was invited to join the rockers in this unique happening experience, igniting hope for the day when we will come together again without conditions. The image of people rocking, united before the magnificent shoreline created a moment of stillness and contemplation for passers-by.
This event was made possible through the financial support of the CALQ and the hospitality of the Portneuf MRC.
